Katie Hill
Katie is a straps artist and acrobat based in London. Studying an MA in Performance Design and Practise at Central Saint Martins and her BA at The National Centre for Circus Arts, where she now teaches on the degree programme.
Since graduating Katie has been lucky to perform across the world and has worked with companies such as Mimbre, Centroid and Nick Knight. For a while she worked as arts project manager in the progressive political movement (Democracy in Europe Movement – DiEM25). During which time she organised and performed in an event ‘Here and Now: A Creative vision for Europe’. Which brought together artists, philosophers and politician’s (Brian Eno, Bobby Gillespie, Danae Stratou, Yanis Varoufakis and more) together on stage to discuss the intersection of arts and politics.
Alongside circus she regularly practises tai chi and someday is keen to run away somewhere warm to become a weaver!
