Mark Morreau

This is Mark’s tenth year documenting the EADF, creating a record of the festival through film and photography.

Mark Morreau is a former circus performer, whose aerial career, spanning three decades, included tours with NoFit State and Zippos, teaching on the degree course at The Circus Space, and training the aerialists for the Millennium Dome and the London 2012 Paralympic Ceremonies.

Since hanging up his leotard Mark has focussed on creating photography and video for circus, dance, and physical theatre companies. His recent clients include the National Centre for Circus Arts, Scarabeus Aerial Theatre, Gravity & Levity, Spymonkey, Jacksons Lane, Ursula Martinez, and Stuff and Nonsense Theatre Company.

Mark works with handstand artist Natalie Reckert, performing “Natalie Inside Out”, a two-person investigation into the intricacies of the handstand. “Natalie Inside Out” was the winner of the National Centre for Circus Arts / Jacksons Lane Labtime^2 award, and its creation was supported by Jacksons Lane and The Lowry.
