Corde Lisse Tech
Week 1
Danilo De Campos Pacheco
Danilo started his artistic career in classical dance at the School of Ballet of Santos (Brazil) directed by his aunt. At age 14, he began learning circus at his high school. After a brief stay in computer science university, he went to Europe to learn about contemporary circus. In south-east London, he discovered a training space called "Hangar Arts Trust", where he trained for a year and a half, specialising in silks. Danilo then left England and he was awarded a national grant fromFunarte (Brazilian Arts Foundation) to study circus arts in Europe.
He then joined the preparatory circus school "Flic" in Turin (Italy). After several years of training silks, Danilo wanted to improve his technical level and develop his artistic approach. He succeeded by joining the Centre National des Arts du Cirque (CNAC) in 2012. There he strengthened and developed his personal research that is equally a work on himself.
Torn from a young age with many problems from cultural, social and religious orders, doing circus arts Danilo finds a way of telling a story, to express emotions without saying a word. The art of being finally himself, somehow.
