Rigging Fundamentals for Aerial Performance
Sat 10th 10am - 3.00pm
Sun 11th 10am - 4.00pm

An intensive course designed for aerialists, aerial tutors or anyone interested in rigging as a career. This course promotes a better understanding of the fundamental concepts of aerial rigging.

Each day will be divided into rigging theory and rigging practical and provide insight into crucial questions that every aerialist should be asking their own rigger.

We’ll cover risk assessments, legislation and what to expect when working with venues and also what they’ll expect and ask of you as someone working in the sector of aerial performance.

We’ll look at factors of safety and load calculations, which knot when, rope and PPE equipment, rigging circus equipment, working with slings, truss and associated hardware and how to work and practice rigging in line with UK health and safety regulations.

There will also be a chance to ask questions.
